Day. 1 Healing Water Springs of Vrnjacka Banja
Welcome to Serbia. We welcome them at Belgrade, Nis and Kraljevo airports (BEG, INI, KVO). Upon your arrival at the Vila Milanka holiday home in Vrnjacka Banja, we will introduce you to the mineral water springs of Vrnjacka Banja. In the lively city park and the promenade you can expect first impressions of Serbia’s most beautiful spa. Dinner in Vrnjacka Banja with original Serbian specialties.
Day. 2 Medieval fortifications
The monastery of Ravanica and Manasija is a listed building in Serbia. Meter-high and thick walls with defensive towers still testify to the importance of these fortifications. On the way to dinner visit the Lisini waterfalls. Dinner with original Serbian specialties.
Day. 3 Koznik
The Medieval Castle of Koznik is an hour’s drive from Vila Milanka Holiday Home. This castle, which was built in the Morava style, was first mentioned in 1381. You can visit the ruins of the castle and the mountain town of Brus. Afterwards dinner in a traditional restaurant in the Serbian mountains.
Day. 4 Grabak Wine Cellar
In the immediate vicinity of the holiday home Vila Milanka is the winery Grabak. You will taste the wines from the Grabak winery and will spoil coordinated delicacies.
Day. 5 Energy Hydropower Moravica & Monastery Studenica
In 1899, Serbian King Aleksander Obrenovic relied on hydropower and the foundation stone for this hydroelectric power plant. Old Siemens machines new electricity. With hydropower we still produce electricity today. A Tesla bust stands in front of the engine room as a thank you and a reminder of the American – Serbian genius.
After lunch, continue to the monastery Studenica (UNESCO World Heritage & Transromanica). Dinner in Vrnjacka Banja with Serbian specialties.
Day 6. Western Morava, monastery Vaznesenje & monastery Blagovestenje
The monastery Vanznesenje and Blagovsetenje on the banks of the western Morava are Idyllically embedded in the beautiful nature and belong to the cultural heritage of the Serbs. You will visit the monastery and the town of Cacak. The region around Cacak is world-famous for its Sljivovic. Dinner with local specialities and Sljivovic.
Day 7. Sv. Sava & Stopanja
The history of the village church of Gracac is over 800 years old. From here, the Serbian Archbishop Sava supervised the construction of the Studenica Monastery. Afterwards continue to the village of Stopoanja near Trstenik. On 300 meters of village road there are eight pecenjare. Pecenjare are restaurants in Serbia that also offer suckling pig or lamb on a skewer. Enjoyment is paramount in this specialty.
